A little giveaway that doesn't have much to do with ARCycling.

Unless you are new, don't follow me on Twitter, or don't pay attention to any posts, tweets, etc, you know that I love Percy Jackson. Not like a little. But like any decent 12-year-old boy with ADHD or dyslexia does. Enough to where the following picture is my cover photo on Facebook:
 [link]

Before that, it was this: (I upgraded to have Nico in there. Nico is freaking boss.)
[link] I can't find the exact link, but that's the link to the amazing artist's Tumblr, if you like Percy at all you need to familiarize yourself with Burdge's fan art. Seriously.

Don't even judge me for this. One thing I've learned in my years on this planet, life is too short to be afraid to love the things you want to love. I apply that to lots of things, including my Percy Jackson fan status. Whatever.

Anyway, over the years of my enthusiastic love, I've collected a number of treasures, including, but not limited to, a Son of Neptune promo poster (and you bet your butt I laminated it) and the prize jewel, a Mark of Athena promotional cardboard dump from the bookstore I work at. Perks of being friends with the lead of the Children's Department. However, I might have acquired too much stuff.

It doesn't help that I live in Austin, Texas. Rick Riordan lives in San Antonio, Texas. His launch parties are always in Austin. So there's always lots of signed stock floating around. And I might have purchased an extra signed Sea of Monsters (#2) and Titan's Curse (#3) on a complete spontaneous impulse. Oops. And I might have ended up with an extra promotional Heros of Olympus "water bottle" that was given out by Disney Hyperion. Oops. So, uh, yeah, those things are going to be given away here and now.

Rules? There are none. Anyone can enter! Okay, your dog can't enter, but humans alike can. You don't have to have a status of blogger, teacher or otherwise. And oh, Hades, why not make this international too?

But let's make this fun. And nerdier.
For an extra entry, ask yourself if you can name all of the characters in the first picture. This is all on the honor system for this one.
For extra entries, you're going to tweet something ridiculous. That's all I'm saying.
For extra entries, comment on this post with your favorite Percy(-based) book if you've read them, if not, then which Greek god/ goddess would be your godly parent.

  1. My favorite Percy Jackson book is actually the very first one, but I haven't read The Last Olympian yet, so it might change from the lightning their to the last Olympian..

I'd love to be a daughter of Athena...she's strong and wise, and yeah ^_^

    3. Oh goodness... my favorite is hard. From the PJATO series it would either be Titan's Curse or Last Olympian, yes. From HoO series, Mark of Athena, for sure.

  2. You're seriously going to make me choose only one book??? I love them all! I've read all the books plus the first 2 in the Heroes of Olympus series. They're all great!

And just for the heck of it, I'd LOVE to be either the child of Apollo (*points to self* nursing student) or Hecate (I love witches and magic!)

  3. My favorite Percy Jackson book is the very first one & my second favorite is in the Heroes of Olympus Series, Mark of Athena! If I had to be a child of a Greek God or Goddess I think I'd have to go with being a daughter of Poseidon b/c I love everything to do with the ocean & Poseidon is my favorite Greek God.

Thanks for the fab giveaway! :D

  4. How do I name all the characters? Do I just leave it in a comment or what?

  5. My favorite Percy Jackson book would have to be Titans Curse bucause Rick introduces Nico and Bianca, and Nico is one of my favorites, so yeah.

I would like my godly parent to be Hades.

  6. Favorite Percy Jackson book? Oh gosh, why would you make me do this. Um I'd say The Last Olympian, despite the fact it marked the end of the Percy Jackson series, because it was really action-packed and thrilling, which I really enjoyed. Plus, Percabeth!! :)
I believe my godly parent would be Athena. If Artemis hadn't sworn to not have children, she'd be my second choice.
    Thanks for the giveaway! :D

  7. Favourite Percy Jackson Book. Hmmm, do you mean the original series or the Heroes of Olympus as well?? I would say: The Battle of the Labyrinth for the Percy Jackson Series, because Percy and Annabeth are much older and *ahem* you know... and the Mark of Athena for the HoO series (because Percabeth reunites). But who knows. Maybe I'll like the House of Hades even better. Mr. Riordan does that.

I think my godly parent would probably be Athena. That's what all my friends say, anyways.

  8. Honestly I read them all at once so I couldn't really say what happened individually in each to pick just one, I love them all!

  9. My favorite book in the series would be battle of the labyrinth... I didn't really like the heroes of olympus series as much as the percy jackson series though...

I'd love my godly parent to be Poseidon... then I would be related to Percy, and the whole power with water thing is pretty awesome~

  12. Of the original five, The Lightning Thief is my favorite - but if we're including Heroes of Olympus, I'd have to say Son of Neptune.

plugin that might be able to resolve this problem.
If you have any recommendations, please share. Cheers!
